Weetabix to streamline buying as its updates outdated procurement systems

One of the UK’s biggest cereal manufacturers hopes the introduction of business-wide e-procurement software will encourage staff to use preferred suppliers.

Weetabix is replacing its 30-year-old paper-based purchasing process as part of a wider effort to update its procurement systems.

The new system will replace paper purchase-orders and manual data entry and give the organisation’s 400 users access to 1100 suppliers via a web-browser over the internet.
