Zimbabwe to reform procurement laws

Zimbabwe is in the process of harmonising public procurement rules and regulations, finally realizing the importance of government expenditure.

It is estimate that public procurement accounts for 60 per cent of Zimbabwe government expenditure.

The Enhancing Procurement Reforms and Capacity project is expected to modernise Zimbabwean procurement laws and align them with other countries’ capacities to manage procurement systems.
